Why we fit Sigenergy
- All-in-one design. Sigenergy’s SigenStor combines the inverter, battery and energy management in one stacked unit. That means fewer boxes on the wall and a cleaner install.
- Modular. Batteries stack in modules, so you can start with what you need now and add capacity later without starting again.
- Backup options. With a Sigen Gateway, the system can switch to backup power during an outage, for the whole home or for the circuits you choose, depending on your set-up.
- Detailed app monitoring. You can see what your solar is producing, what the battery is doing and what you’re drawing from the grid. We set it up and show you how it works before we leave.
- EV-ready. Sigenergy offers an EV charging option that works with the same system. Ask us if an EV is on your horizon.
Why it matters who installs it
A premium battery is only as good as the install. We’re a Sigenergy-approved installer. Our own in-house team designs every system and does every installation, and we do the work ourselves. That means no subcontractors.
When customers have had a problem after install, we deal with Sigenergy directly on their behalf. You’re not left chasing a manufacturer.
Is Sigenergy right for you?
It’s often a good fit if you:
- want to add more battery capacity later (a growing family, an EV, working from home)
- want detailed monitoring and control
- are putting in solar and a battery together and want one tidy system
If you want a very high-quality battery at a lower price point, have a look at GoodWe. We’ll give you a straight comparison for your home.
We also install Sungrow, Solax and Tesla batteries. See the other battery brands we install.
How it works with us
1. Free energy assessment: send 1–2 recent power bills. We size the battery (and any extra solar) from your real usage.
2. Custom design: you get a proposal with the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate already built in.
3. Site visit: we check where the battery can go, assess your switchboard (including any RCBO upgrades), and agree on what stays on in a blackout.
4. Install: usually one day, by our own electricians. Then monitoring set-up and a sign-off call.
Warranties
- 10-year battery warranty
- 10-year inverter replacement warranty
- 25-year workmanship warranty from us
Sigenergy FAQs
Can I add Sigenergy to my existing solar?
In many cases, yes. It depends on your current inverter and how much your panels produce. We check your bills and your system first and tell you whether it’s battery only or battery plus extra solar.
Can I add more batteries later?
Yes. Sigenergy is modular. We’ll design with room to grow if you think you’ll need it.
Is Sigenergy eligible for the federal battery rebate?
We build the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate into every eligible design and take it off at point of sale. Your proposal shows the exact figure.
Will it keep my power on in a blackout?
Yes. A typical install backs up the whole home, unless you ask us to leave some circuits out (an EV charger, for example). We confirm exactly what will stay on during the site visit.
Are you an approved Sigenergy installer?
Yes. Sun Connect Solar is a Sigenergy-approved installer, and SAA-accredited.
