What did homes near you install? Solar and battery sizes by Northern Rivers postcode

Pick your postcode and see what homes near you had our own electricians install: the solar size, the battery and when. It is built from our 124 completed Northern Rivers jobs since 2019 (town, postcode, system and month only; no names or addresses). 85 of those homes added a battery. It is a guide to what your neighbours chose, not a recommendation: we size every system from your own power bills.

Our installs by postcode

Across all 124 jobs the most common battery sizes were 24 kWh (19 homes), 16 kWh (16 homes), 10 kWh (13 homes), 32 kWh (11 homes). Most homes paired the battery with between 6 and 13 kW of solar.

How to use this

Use it to get a feel for what is normal around you. A 16 kWh battery is common for a two-to-four-person home that wants to cover the evening and have backup through a blackout; 24 to 32 kWh suits bigger homes, pool pumps and EV charging; 40 kWh and above is usually acreage, three-phase or a home that wants to ride out long outages. Sigenergy batteries come in 9 kWh modules today (9, 18, 27, 36, 45 kWh) and GoodWe ESA in 8 kWh modules (8, 16, 24, 32, 40 kWh); older jobs in the table used earlier module sizes, so the installed figures are rounded to the nearest kWh.

Then send us a recent power bill. Our electricians size the solar and battery from your real usage, build in the federal battery rebate and solar STCs, and check the switchboard and battery position on a site visit before install day, so there are no surprises. See how we size a battery from your bills, our solar and battery price calculator and the map of our installs.

Questions

Where does this data come from?

From our own completed-job records: 124 solar and battery installations by our own electricians across the Northern Rivers since 2019, as lodged for the federal rebate. Only the town, postcode, system and install month are shown. No names, no addresses.

Why does my postcode show jobs from the next postcode too?

Where a postcode has only a few of our jobs we add the neighbouring postcodes so you see a fair spread of what nearby homes chose. Each row says which postcode it is.

Does the most common size suit my home?

Not necessarily. These are what other homes chose for their own usage. We size every system from your actual power bills on a free energy assessment, and we check the battery position and switchboard on a site visit before install day.
