How we work out your price range

The calculator uses the same prices as our solar and battery packages, built from our real quotes for Northern Rivers homes. Your answers change the range:

  • System type and power bill: set the starting size, for example 6.6 kW of solar with a 16 to 18 kWh battery for a typical family home. You can try other sizes on the result.
  • Battery brand: GoodWe is our mid-tier option and very high quality; Sigenergy is our premium option.
  • Roof and storeys: tile, Klip-Lok, double-storey and steep roofs take more mounting and safety work.
  • Switchboard: older boards may need safety switches (RCBOs) to meet today’s standards. We check every switchboard on the site visit and price any work up front.
  • Rebates: the federal solar rebate and the Cheaper Home Batteries rebate are taken off at point of sale. We do the paperwork.

Your exact price comes from a free energy assessment of your power bills and a face-to-face site visit before install day, so there are no hidden extras on the day.

What every price includes

  • Supply and installation by our own in-house electricians. No subcontractors.
  • A custom design sized from your real power use, not a generic package.
  • Full home blackout backup on battery systems, unless you ask us to leave circuits out.
  • Grid application, monitoring set-up and a sign-off call.
  • Warranties: 25 years on our workmanship, 25 years panel performance, 10 years on the battery and 10 years inverter replacement.

Price calculator FAQs

How much does solar and a battery cost in the Northern Rivers?

As a guide, 6.6 kW of solar with a 16 kWh GoodWe battery starts from $12,500 after the federal rebates ($18,200 before), and with an 18 kWh Sigenergy battery from $14,700 ($20,600 before), including GST. Your roof, storeys, switchboard and system size change the price. Use the calculator above for your home.

How much does it cost to add a battery to existing solar?

A GoodWe battery added to existing solar starts from $7,200 after rebates for 8 kWh and $8,500 for 16 kWh. A Sigenergy battery starts from $8,500 after rebates for 9 kWh and $10,700 for 18 kWh. All prices include GST and installation.

Are the rebates already taken off?

Yes. The result shows the federal solar rebate (STCs) and the Cheaper Home Batteries rebate as separate lines, then the price after rebates. We take them off your price at point of sale and handle the paperwork. They step down on 1 January, so the same system installed from 1 January 2027 gets less.

Why is it a range and not one price?

Every home is different. The low end is our starting price for a typical single-storey tin roof; the top end allows for the usual differences between homes. Your exact price comes after a free energy assessment and a site visit, so there are no surprises on install day.

Can I pay it off with the NSW 0% loan?

Eligible NSW homeowners can use the NSW Home Energy Saver 0% interest loan, up to $15,000 over up to 10 years, after the rebates come off. Many pay nothing upfront this way. 0% p.a. (comparison rate 0% p.a.). Brighte loans. Eligibility and lender approval apply.

Do you quote remotely?

We give a guide price online and over the phone, but we never lock in a price without a face-to-face site visit. We check the battery position, your switchboard and any safety upgrades first, so the price you sign is the price you pay.
