Most of the batteries we put in across the Northern Rivers are Sigenergy (premium) or GoodWe (mid-tier). We also install Sungrow, Solax and Tesla batteries. If you already have a Sungrow or Solax inverter, or you have your heart set on a particular brand, we’ll design around it and tell you straight whether it suits your home.

Sungrow batteries

Sungrow is a major inverter and battery maker with a strong presence in Australia. Its SBR high-voltage battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells in stackable 3.2 kWh modules, from 6.4 kWh up to 25.6 kWh in one stack (2 to 8 modules), according to Sungrow’s own specifications.

Solax batteries

Solax makes the Triple Power (T-BAT) range of modular LFP batteries, designed to work with Solax hybrid inverters. Capacity is built up from battery modules, so the system can be sized to your usage.

Tesla Powerwall

We are accredited to install Tesla Powerwall. Powerwall 3 stores up to 13.5 kWh and has a solar inverter built in, so it can run a new solar system and the battery in one unit. Tesla’s warranty is 10 years, and Tesla requires the Powerwall to stay connected to the internet for the full warranty.

Which brand should you choose?

The right battery depends on your bills, your existing solar and inverter, where the battery can safely go, and how much you want to back up in a blackout. We size every system from your real usage, then recommend one option and explain why. Sometimes that is Sigenergy or GoodWe, sometimes it is one of these brands.

Whatever the brand, the job is done the same way: a face-to-face site visit before every install (compliant battery position, switchboard and RCBO check, no surprises on the day), our own electricians on the tools, no subcontractors, and the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate built into eligible designs. A typical install backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave some circuits out.

Do you install Tesla Powerwall?

Yes. We are accredited to install Tesla Powerwall. We’ll tell you honestly whether it suits your home or whether another battery fits your goals better.

Can you add a Sungrow or Solax battery to my existing solar?

Often, yes, particularly if you already have a Sungrow or Solax hybrid inverter. It depends on your inverter and how much your panels produce. We check your bills and your system first, then tell you what will work.

Why do your ads mostly talk about Sigenergy and GoodWe?

They are the two systems we recommend most often, from premium (Sigenergy) to mid-tier (GoodWe). Sungrow, Solax and Tesla are good options too, and we install them when they are the right fit or when you already have a preference.

Do these batteries get the federal battery rebate?

We build the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate into every eligible design and take it off at point of sale. Your proposal shows the exact figure for the battery we recommend.

Will my workmanship warranty be different with these brands?

No. Our 25-year workmanship warranty covers our installation work whichever brand you choose. The battery and inverter are covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty.
