Job 1: an old system replaced with 9.5 kW of Trina (August 2026)
A returning customer on a hilltop block with views west. Their old solar system had done its time, so it came off the roof and was taken away for proper disposal. In its place: 20 Trina Vertex S+ panels (475 W each), 9.5 kW in total, in two long rows on the tiled roof, feeding a 6 kW Sigenergy hybrid inverter.

- Solar: 20 Trina Vertex S+ panels, 9.5 kW
- Inverter: a 6 kW Sigenergy single-phase hybrid inverter
- Old system removal and disposal
Job 2: 6.65 kW of Jinko on a battery-ready inverter (February 2025)
A home on a grey tile roof with some older small panels already up there. The new array is 14 Jinko Tiger Neo panels (475 W each), 6.65 kW, in one long row along the main roof face, on a Sigenergy hybrid inverter so a battery can be added without changing the inverter.

- Solar: 14 Jinko Tiger Neo panels, 6.65 kW
- Inverter: a Sigenergy 5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter, battery-ready
Goonellabah roofs
Goonellabah’s ridges east of Lismore get plenty of sun, and many homes here have tiled roofs with open, unshaded faces. Both of these jobs started with a look at the existing system and the roof on site. For battery jobs in the suburb, see a GoodWe battery in Goonellabah and a 24 kWh Sigenergy battery in Goonellabah.
How a solar job like this runs
We start with a free energy assessment from one or two power bills, or a quick call on 0483 903 020. The system is sized from your real daytime use, and the solar STCs come off the price at point of sale, with the paperwork handled by us (how STCs work). Before install day we come out to look at the roof and the switchboard face to face, so there are no surprises. Our own electricians do the install, usually in a day, then we set up monitoring, look after the grid connection and finish with a sign-off call.
Warranties
Every new solar install from us now comes with 10-year inverter replacement, 25-year panel performance and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranties.
Questions we get asked
Why put a hybrid inverter on solar without a battery?
A hybrid inverter can take a battery later without changing the inverter. Both of these homes went that way, so adding storage later is simpler. See adding a battery to existing solar.
Do you remove the old system?
If it is being replaced, yes. On the first job the old panels came off the roof and were taken away for proper disposal.
Trina, Jinko or AIKO?
All three are large, well-known panel makers. We mostly use AIKO and Jinko, and use other quality panels such as Trina where they suit the job. See AIKO vs Jinko panels.
Can I add more panels to my existing system?
Often, yes, depending on the inverter and the roof. See adding more panels to an existing system.
