Why GoodWe for this home

GoodWe’s ESA is our mid-tier battery: a very good, simple all-in-one where the inverter and battery modules live in one unit. For this Goonellabah household it gave a solid evening battery and a new solar array in one tidy package. Two 8.3 kWh modules make about 16.6 kWh of storage, and more modules can go on later if their use grows.

Where everything went

The ESA stands at ground level against a cream brick wall under cover, with its conduits run straight up the bricks and a protective bollard beside it. On the roof, the 18 panels went on in two long rows on the brown tiles, facing out over the suburbs towards the hills behind Lismore.

Warranties

Every new install from us now comes with a 10-year battery warranty, 10-year inverter replacement, 25-year panel performance and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranties.

The federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027 and again on 1 July 2027, based on install date. If a battery is on your list, it’s worth getting your assessment done early.

Why a bollard beside the battery?

Where a car could reach a battery, a protective bollard stops it being hit. It is part of installing a battery to the Australian standard.
