Where do I find my battery warranty and the official warranty documents?

Short answer. Sigenergy owners can look in the mySigen app under Service, then Warranty. Official warranty documents for both brands are on the manufacturers’ own Australian warranty pages. For our own installation work, we give a 25-year workmanship warranty. We cannot read your terms to you from a web page, so call us with any claim.

The equipment itself, such as the battery, inverter and panels, is covered by the manufacturers’ warranties. Our workmanship warranty covers our installation work only.

Safety first. Do not open the unit to look for a label. Never open a switchboard, remove a cover from your battery or inverter, or touch any wiring. Anything beyond the app, a light you can read from a safe distance, or your own router is a job for a licensed electrician. If you see smoke, smell burning, hear arcing or see water on or near the unit: keep everyone away, switch off at your main switch only if it is safe to do so, and call 000 if there is any fire or smoke.

Where to look

  1. Sigenergy: open mySigen and go to Service, then Warranty. Official Australia and New Zealand documents (battery, inverter, extended and EV charger warranties) are on Sigenergy’s warranty page.
  2. GoodWe: GoodWe’s Australian warranty page lists its inverter and several battery warranty documents. It does not name one for the ESA battery modules, so ask us which applies to yours.
  3. Our install work: your 25-year workmanship warranty covers our installation. Your proposal and paperwork from your install are the place to look.
  4. Not sure? Call us. We know what we installed and when.

When something goes wrong

Call us first. If we installed your system we work through it with you and deal with the manufacturer for you where needed. Please do not open the unit or arrange another electrician to open it, as unauthorised work can affect cover.
