Hillside homes above the Tweed, designed and installed by our own local electricians.

Bilambil Heights sits on the ridges at the entrance to the Tweed hinterland, with views across the Terranora Broadwater and the valley. Down the hill, Bilambil village and the farms along the creek flats are part of the same patch. Up here the sun is good, but the blocks are steep, the homes are often large, and many back onto bushland.

A Bilambil Heights customer

Ross and Holly, from Bilambil Heights, went with 19 kW of solar and a battery since expanded to 33 kWh:

“Our $600 quarterly bills are gone.” Ross & Holly, Bilambil Heights

Not every home needs a system that size. We size yours from your own power bills, so it suits how your household actually uses power.

What we plan for on the ridges

Big homes, big loads. Many homes here have a pool, ducted air-conditioning and a home office, with a lot of power used in the evening. That’s where a battery earns its place. We look at when you use power, not just how much, before we recommend a size.

Steep blocks and split roofs. Homes built into the slope often have roof faces pointing several ways, plus a long run from the roof down to the switchboard or garage. We work out panel layout, cable routes and the battery spot together on the site visit, so install day has no surprises.

Bushland edges. Many blocks in Bilambil Heights back onto bushland. We take that into account when we choose where the battery and inverter go, and we keep equipment clear and easy to get to.

Blackout backup. Hillside streets can be slow to come back after a big storm. A typical battery install from us backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave some circuits out, such as an EV charger. We confirm exactly what stays on before install day.

What we install

Sigenergy batteries (premium) and the GoodWe ESA all-in-one with 8 kWh modules (mid-tier), plus Sungrow, Solax and Tesla batteries. AIKO and Jinko panels. We also add batteries to existing solar, fit EV chargers, and design off-grid systems for rural blocks further into the hinterland.

Northern Rivers residents: $500 off your system. Ask us about it on your assessment.

Bilambil Heights FAQs

My block is steep. Is that a problem for solar?

Usually not. We plan panel layout, access and cable routes on the site visit, before we finalise the design.

Do I need a system as big as Ross and Holly's?

Not necessarily. We size every system from your own bills, so a smaller home or lower usage gets a smaller system.

Can a battery run my pool pump and air-conditioning in a blackout?

A typical install backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave circuits out. We check your loads and confirm what will run before install day.

Does being near bushland change where my battery goes?

It is one of the things we weigh up on the site visit, along with the installation rules for battery placement.

Do you cover Bilambil village and Terranora?

Yes, along with Banora Point, Tweed Heads South and the rest of the Tweed on the NSW side of the border.
