A 12.22 kW AIKO solar system with a Sigenergy hybrid inverter and an 8 kWh Sigenergy battery for a home in Wilsons Creek, in the hills behind Mullumbimby.
Our own in-house electricians designed and installed the system. Sarah-Jane and Jewelli were happy to pose with their new battery on handover day.

The job
A Wilsons Creek home on a single-phase supply, where we designed a solar and battery system sized around the household’s real power use. Out in the hills, a battery that keeps the home running when the grid drops out matters more.
What we installed
- Solar: 26 AIKO panels (470 W each), 12.22 kW in total
- Inverter: a 10 kW Sigenergy SigenStor hybrid inverter
- Battery: a Sigenergy SigenStor battery with about 8 kWh of storage (8.06 kWh), wall-mounted under cover with the cabling run in conduit
- Monitoring: consumption and production monitoring with app training
How it went
As with every job, we did a face-to-face site visit before install day to agree the battery position, check the switchboard and confirm the backup circuits. We handled the grid application and the paperwork, then finished with monitoring set-up and a sign-off call.
The finished battery is fixed to the wall with the warning labels fitted and the cables tidy, which is how we like to hand a job over.
How every job like this runs
1. Free energy assessment from one or two recent power bills, or a 15-minute call.
2. Custom design sized from the household’s real usage, with the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate and solar STCs taken off at point of sale. We handle the paperwork. See your rebates or try the battery rebate calculator.
3. Face-to-face site visit before install day: compliant battery position, switchboard and RCBO check, and agreement on what stays on in a blackout. No surprises on the day.
4. Install, usually one day, by our own electricians. No subcontractors. Then monitoring set-up, grid connection and a sign-off call.
Warranties
10-year battery, 10-year inverter replacement, 25-year panel performance and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranties.
The federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027 and again on 1 July 2027, based on install date. If a battery is on your list, it’s worth getting your assessment done early.
