A 24.1 kWh Sigenergy battery for a three-phase home in Lismore.
This home already had solar, so this was a battery added to the existing system: no new panels needed. We installed a Sigenergy SigenStor with a three-phase hybrid inverter, all done by our own in-house team.

The system
- Inverter: Sigenergy Sigen Hybrid 10 kW, three phase
- Battery: Sigenergy SigenStor, 24.1 kWh
- Solar: the home’s existing system, no new panels needed
What we designed and why
Every battery we design is sized from the household’s real power use, from their bills. When a home already has solar, we check whether the existing panels can cover the day and charge the battery for the night; here they could, so the job was battery only. More on adding a battery to existing solar. This home has three-phase power, so the design uses Sigenergy’s three-phase hybrid inverter, with the inverter and battery modules stacked together in one SigenStor unit.
Sigenergy is our premium battery. Its modules stack, so capacity can be added later without starting again.
The install
The SigenStor stands on the concrete path beside the house, against the painted block wall of the lower level, with weatherboards above. It’s a battery inverter on top of three battery modules.
A steel bollard protects the open side of the unit, the required safety and shutdown signage is mounted beside it, and a matching wall-mounted Sigenergy unit sits alongside, with the cabling run neatly in conduit along the wall. The battery position and switchboard were checked at the face-to-face site visit before install day.

What it gives the household
- A large battery to cover evening and overnight use, so less power is bought from the grid
- Blackout backup: a typical install backs up the whole home unless the customer asks us to leave some circuits out
- Room to add battery modules later
- Monitoring in the Sigenergy app, set up and explained before we leave
How every job like this runs
1. Free energy assessment from one or two recent power bills, or a 15-minute call.
2. Custom design sized from the household’s real usage, with the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate (and solar STCs where panels are included) taken off at point of sale. We handle the paperwork.
3. Face-to-face site visit before install day: compliant battery position, switchboard and RCBO check, and agreement on what stays on in a blackout. No surprises on the day.
4. Install, usually one day, by our own electricians. No subcontractors. Then monitoring set-up, grid connection and a sign-off call.
Warranties: 10-year battery, 10-year inverter replacement and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work.
The federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027 and again on 1 July 2027, based on install date. If a battery is on your list, it’s worth getting your assessment done early.
