Four More Jobs at Mullumbimby Creek: a Multi-Building Sigenergy System and Three Solar Installs
Four jobs along Mullumbimby Creek: a 12 kW Sigenergy controller and 32 kWh battery tying together a house, a studio and a cabin with a generator inlet, 13.3 kW of Jinko solar on a SolarEdge inverter, Seraphim solar on SolarEdge, and Jinko solar on a GoodWe hybrid.
All four were designed and installed by our own in-house team.

1. One Sigenergy system for a house, a studio and a cabin (April 2026)
A property with several buildings, each with its own solar. A 12 kW Sigenergy SigenStor controller and about 32 kWh of battery went in on the timber deck, with 16 new AIKO panels. The studio got new panels and an inverter, the cabin’s panels and inverter were moved, and the existing GoodWe inverter was kept, with Sigenergy power meters on each other-brand inverter so the battery sees all the solar. A Sigenergy Gateway gives blackout backup, a generator inlet covers long outages.

2. 13.3 kW of Jinko on SolarEdge (February 2024)
Twenty-eight Jinko Tiger Neo panels (475 W each) on a grey metal roof among tall gums, on a SolarEdge SE10000H inverter with a SolarEdge hot water controller.

3. Seraphim solar on SolarEdge (August 2023)
Sixteen Seraphim 415 W panels, 6.64 kW, on a SolarEdge 5 kW inverter for a cottage in the trees.
4. Jinko solar on a GoodWe hybrid (February 2024)
Fourteen Jinko Tiger Neo panels (475 W each), 6.65 kW, on a GoodWe 5 kW hybrid inverter, with new submains linking it to the main house switchboard.
Mullumbimby Creek
The creek valley runs west from Mullumbimby into the hills, a few minutes from our base. Homes here sit among big trees, so placing panels for the sun is the first job. Also on the creek: a 27 kWh Sigenergy battery at Mullumbimby Creek. Nearby: a 54 kWh Sigenergy battery in the Mullumbimby hinterland.
How every job like this runs
1. Free energy assessment from one or two recent power bills, or a quick phone call on 0483 903 020.
2. Custom design sized from the household’s real usage, with the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate and solar STCs taken off at point of sale. We handle the paperwork. See your rebates or try the battery rebate calculator.
3. Face-to-face site visit before install day: compliant battery position, switchboard and RCBO check, and agreement on what stays on in a blackout. No surprises on the day.
4. Install, usually one day, by our own electricians. No subcontractors. Then monitoring set-up, grid connection and a sign-off call.
Warranties
Every new install from us now comes with a 10-year battery warranty, 10-year inverter replacement, 25-year panel performance and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranties.
The federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027 and again on 1 July 2027, based on install date. If a battery is on your list, it’s worth getting your assessment done early.
Questions we get asked
Can solar on separate buildings feed one battery?
Yes. On the first job the studio and cabin solar were brought into the Sigenergy system, with Sigenergy power meters on each other-brand inverter so the system sees all the solar.
What is a genset inlet?
A plug-in point for a generator, so the house can run and the battery can charge when there is no grid and no sun. See days of battery autonomy.
What does a SolarEdge hot water controller do?
It sends spare solar to the electric hot water so the tank heats from the panels.
What happens when the grid goes down?
The Sigenergy Gateway switches the home over to the battery and solar. A typical install backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave circuits out. See blackout backup batteries.
