Job 1: a Sungrow hybrid and battery (November 2024)

A brick home with a sheltered brick alcove. The Sungrow SH10RS hybrid inverter went on the brick wall, with an SBR battery stack of four modules (12.8 kWh, as claimed for the job) on the slab below it and a protective bollard. All-black AIKO panels (455 W each) went on the grey tile roof.

Job 2: 29 AIKO panels on a battery-ready inverter (February 2025)

A larger brick home in Lennox Head. Twenty-nine all-black AIKO Neostar panels (455 W each), 13.195 kW, run in two long rows across the grey tile roof, around the flues and vents, on a Sungrow SH10RS 10 kW hybrid inverter that can take a battery later.

How every job like this runs

Every new install from us now comes with a 10-year battery warranty, 10-year inverter replacement, 25-year panel performance and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranties.

Questions we get asked

Can a solar-only home add a battery later?

Yes. The second home here runs on a Sungrow SH10RS hybrid inverter, which can take an SBR battery later without changing the inverter. See adding a battery later.

Sungrow or Sigenergy?

We install both. Today we lead with Sigenergy (premium) and GoodWe (mid-tier). See Sungrow vs Sigenergy.

What happens when the grid goes down?

The Sigenergy Gateway switches the home over to the battery and solar. A typical install backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave circuits out. See blackout backup batteries.
