Excellent experience from quote to finished job. Expert advice and quality installation by Dean and crew for a battery-ready and EV charger-ready 8.5 kw system with 10 kw Sigenergy inverter. Competitive pricing and the job was completed less than two weeks after agreeing to the quote. Highly recommended. Great company to deal with.

Excellent Service and Top-Quality Installation
I recently had a fairly complex solar and battery system installed by Sun Connect Solar in Mullumbimby, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The main person I dealt with, Dean, is an exceptional problem solver — clever, practical, and completely focused on achieving the best result. It’s very clear that he takes great pride in his work.
Dean is extremely busy (a good sign of someone in high demand for good reason), so communication wasn’t always immediate, but when he did get back to me, his responses were thorough, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented. I appreciated that, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about the quality of every installation.
The workmanship was absolutely first class. The finished system looks neat, tidy, and very professionally done. Even with a fairly complex setup that included several outbuildings, everything was installed seamlessly.
I was also pleasantly surprised by a local discount that Dean offered — completely unexpected but very much appreciated. The price was very very competitive being 28.57% less than a second competitor’s quote I obtained for the same job. On top of that, he included several extra quite substantial touches at no additional charge, going above and beyond what was quoted.
The quote itself arrived promptly, and what really impressed me was the detailed explanatory video Dean sent through. It clearly outlined the proposed system, helping me understand exactly what I was getting and why it was designed that way.
The system features Sigenergy equipment, and after seeing it in action, I’m convinced it’s the best in the business — modern, powerful, and backed by an incredibly sophisticated app. The hardware itself is beautifully made, with stainless steel fittings and a rich, powder-coated, weatherproof finish that gives real confidence in long-term durability.
All in all, I highly recommend Sun Connect Solar and Dean and his friendly team to anyone looking for a high-quality, professional solar and battery installation. Excellent work, fair pricing, and an installer who genuinely knows his craft.

I had two solar systems on the roof and one of the inverters required replacement. I took the opportunity to look into getting a battery and connecting the two systems. I talked to four companies in the local area and Sun Connect Solar was who I chose. Peter was very patient with me, was never pushy, explained things very clearly and answered all my questions. In the end, Sun Connect Solar was the only company that provided the best performing solution and at a very competitive price.
Dean, who installed the system was pleasant to deal with. Most importantly, he did a very neat, quality install.
Sun Connect Solar can offer a free follow-up, which is great and I know they will be around for a while due to their previous reviews and the care and quality they provide.

★★★★★ Larry L., Ocean Shores · Google review, 2025
We got three quotes from local installers and ended up going with Sun Connect Solar. The clincher was meeting Dean, their head guy — face-to-face, no fuss. He laid everything out in plain English, and we walked away with a good feeling. That’s the beauty of going local.
We’re doing the installation in two stages. First up: 19 x 440-watt panels. That part’s done, went off without a hitch, and they’re already pulling in power like champs. Next up, we’re adding a hefty 24 kWh battery, which should take us close to being self-sufficient — and that feels like a big step in the right direction off coal and gas.
So far, everything has gone exactly as promised. Dean and his crew have been terrific, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to throw the switch.
If you’re thinking about solar, my advice? Go with someone local. Sit down with them, look them in the eye, and see if they feel like the kind of people you want dancing up on your roof. Worked for us!
And finally, a big thanks to the government for the generous subsidies. Without them, we might still be thinking about it instead of doing it. We’re looking forward to casting our net over those big beautiful free electrons and playing our small part in Australia’s energy future.
Cheers for now —Laz,
Ocean Shores, NSW

I couldn’t trust the big companies with too-cheap-to-be-right solar packages and outsourced contractors so I called Dean. He advised us to get a big system (10+kW) for our house in Grafton and we never looked back. Zero dollar bills (PLUS credit) for three quarters of the year and $500 for winter (with overnight heating and 8 hours during day for a 5BR house). Reasonable price, great communication, installation and service; I definitely recommend Sun Connect!
