Ballina: AIKO on GoodWe (June 2024)

A brick home in Ballina with a pale metal roof. All-black AIKO panels (440 W each) went on two roof faces, running on a GoodWe DNS 5 kW single-phase inverter.

Kinvara: 24 Trina panels and power to the shed (August 2024)

An acreage property at Kinvara, in the 2478 hinterland behind Ballina. Twenty-four Trina Vertex S+ panels (440 W each), 10.56 kW, went on a long roof, on a GoodWe MS G3 8.5 kW inverter. The job also included a 63 A underground submain and a sub-board in the shed (trench dug by the household), and a hot water timer so the tank heats from the solar.

Yes. At Kinvara the hot water circuit was rewired with a timer so it heats while the panels are producing.

Can you run power to a shed?

Yes. At Kinvara we put in a 63 A underground submain and a new sub-board in the shed; the household dug the trench.

Is a GoodWe inverter good?
