A Byron home against the rainforest
This Byron Bay home backs onto a strip of rainforest, with palms and tall eucalypts behind it. Its metal roof had one clear, sunny face, and the 15 all-black AIKO panels fill it in neat rows. The SigenStor energy controller and battery store the daytime solar for the evening.

Questions we get asked
Do you install in Byron Bay?
Yes. We are based near Mullumbimby, about 20 minutes away, and install across Byron Bay and the Byron Shire. See solar and batteries in Byron Bay.
Is a small solar system enough for a battery?
It depends on use. 6.8 kW suits many smaller households, and the Sigenergy system can grow with more modules. See battery sizing.
Will trees shade the panels?
We place panels on the faces that clear the trees through the year. See shading and cleaning.
What happens when the grid goes down?
The Sigenergy Gateway switches the home over to the battery and solar. A typical install backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave circuits out. See blackout backup batteries.
Thinking about solar and a battery?
We’re based near Mullumbimby and install across the Northern Rivers. See solar and batteries in Byron Bay and Suffolk Park, or compare Sigenergy, GoodWe and Sungrow, Solax and Tesla.
