Eureka: three-phase solar on a long shed (March 2026)
A farm property with a long shed roof beside water tanks and paddocks. Twenty Trina Vertex S+ panels (475 W each), 9.5 kW, run in two straight rows along the roof, feeding a 15 kW three-phase Sigenergy SigenStor energy controller in the shed. A three-phase controller suits the property’s supply and leaves room to add Sigenergy battery modules later.

Corndale: a big battery, existing solar kept (November 2025)
A home on a green corrugated roof with a garden running down the slope. The existing solar was kept and tied in through a Sigenergy Gateway so it produces in blackouts, seven new all-black AIKO panels were added, and the battery is four Sigenergy modules (about 32 kWh) on an 8 kW controller. The job also added weatherproof power points by the deck, to get rid of extension cords.

Modanville: 48 kWh and a genset input (March 2026)
A rural property with a large shed. The existing solar panels were redirected into a new 12 kW Sigenergy hybrid inverter, so they now run through the battery system and keep producing in a blackout, and the battery is six modules, about 48 kWh. A genset input on the Gateway lets a generator run the house and charge the battery when there is no grid and no sun.

The plateau north of Lismore
Corndale, Eureka and Modanville sit on the farmland plateau between Lismore, Dunoon and The Channon, with farms, sheds and long rural power lines. Big batteries and backup are common requests here. Nearby: a 16 kWh Sigenergy battery at Dunoon, a 32 kWh battery at Rosebank and a GoodWe battery at The Channon.
How every job like this runs
1. Free energy assessment from one or two recent power bills, or a quick phone call on 0483 903 020.
2. Custom design sized from the household’s real usage, with the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate and solar STCs taken off at point of sale. We handle the paperwork. See your rebates or try the battery rebate calculator.
3. Face-to-face site visit before install day: compliant battery position, switchboard and RCBO check, and agreement on what stays on in a blackout. No surprises on the day.
4. Install, usually one day, by our own electricians. No subcontractors. Then monitoring set-up, grid connection and a sign-off call.
Warranties
Every new install from us now comes with a 10-year battery warranty, 10-year inverter replacement, 25-year panel performance and our 25-year workmanship warranty on our installation work. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranties.
The federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027 and again on 1 July 2027, based on install date. If a battery is on your list, it’s worth getting your assessment done early.
Questions we get asked
Can a generator run my house and charge the battery?
With a Sigenergy Gateway it can. On the Modanville job a genset input lets the house run and the battery charge when there is no grid or sun. See days of battery autonomy.
Why a three-phase inverter on a farm shed?
Many rural properties have three-phase power to the shed. A three-phase inverter feeds the solar evenly across all three phases. See single-phase vs three-phase.
Can my existing solar run through a new battery inverter?
Often, yes. At Modanville the existing panels were redirected into the new 12 kW Sigenergy inverter; at Corndale the existing system was tied in through the Gateway.
What happens when the grid goes down?
The Sigenergy Gateway switches the home over to the battery and solar. A typical install backs up the whole home unless you ask us to leave circuits out. See blackout backup batteries.
